Rose at home in 1st Bulls practice
DEERFIELD, Ill. (AP) - Derrick Rose had a lot of questions at his first practice with the Chicago Bulls on Thursday.

"I asked a lot of them. I lost count," the 19-year-old guard said following a two-hour practice at the Bulls' suburban training facility. "(But) I felt very comfortable out there. I can't wait to get down to Orlando and start playing."

The 6-foot 3-inch Rose, selected first overall in the NBA draft, was among 17 players at a four-day minicamp held before next week's Orlando Pro Summer League in Florida.

Along with drills and introductions to various plays and scenarios, Rose also played in a 15-minute simulated game.

"His quickness, his athleticism is impressive," Chicago coach Vinnie Del Negro said. "And he'll get better every day as he becomes more comfortable. I'm not really worried about Derrick. It's just a matter of time."

Rose played a single college season at Memphis and led the Tigers to this year's NCAA Division I title game before falling to Kansas. A Chicago native, Rose also led Simeon Career Academy to state high school championships in his final two years.
