Report: McDyess will be a Piston
Antonio McDyess has decided to return to the Detroit Pistons, according to a report by ESPN.com's Chris Sheridan.

According to the story, after considering interest from 18 NBA teams, including Cleveland, Boston, San Antonio and Charlotte, McDyess decided to return to the team that traded him nearly three weeks ago.

McDyess will re-sign with the Pistons on Dec. 3 after a league-mandated 30-day waiting period expires. He will become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the 2008-09 season.

O'Neal hurting

Jermaine O'Neal left the Raptors' game against the Celtics in the second quarter Sunday after falling following a missed jump shot.

The forward had started despite having strained his surgically repaired left knee against New Jersey on Friday.

O'Neal scored six points Sunday before falling backward on a missed jumper at 7:36 of the second. He left the game one possession later and spent the second half in the locker room getting treatment.

O'Neal expects to be healthy for Wednesday's game against Charlotte.

Hunter helping Rose

Lindsey Hunter, 37, has been a rotation player on two NBA champs and understands his real reason for being a Bull.

"Just being a leader and bringing the experience I have and teaching how to win and what it takes to reach the next level," Hunter said. "I may not always make shots, but I always will share that."

Derrick Rose calls all his teammates big brothers. But with Kirk Hinrich probably out until February after thumb surgery, having another veteran guard to learn tricks of the trade from can be invaluable.

Rose said Hunter already has helped him defensively, easily where the rookie has the most room to improve.

Late Saturday

Shaquille O'Neal had 19 points and 17 rebounds to power the Phoenix Suns to a 102-92 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers. Amare Stoudemire added 17 points, Steve Nash had 16 on 6-for-7 shooting, and Grant Hill scored 15 for the Suns, who beat the Blazers for the second time in Phoenix this season.
