Bulls: Derrick Rose, 6-3, Ben Gordon, 6-3, Luol Deng, 6-9, Drew Gooden, 6-10, Aaron Gray, 7-0.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

This game could easily unfold into a Rookie of the Year showdown between Mayo and Rose. Mayo leads all rookies in scoring at 20.8 points per game, the highest scoring average for a first-year player since Carmelo Anthony (21.0) in 2003-04. Rose is averaging 18.3 points, 6.1 assists and 3.8 rebounds. Should the Bulls rookie point guard finish the season with averages of at least 18 points, five rebounds and five assists, he would become just the eighth rookie in NBA history to do so. Equally impressive is that Rose owns a .495 shooting percentage.

THE SKINNY

The Griz enter tonight's game with consecutive victories for the first time this season and are looking for three straight wins for the first time in the Marc Iavaroni Era. During their two-game winning streak, the Grizzlies are averaging 108.5 points, including 52.5 from the bench, and are outscoring opponents 46-16 in points off turnovers. The Griz own a 7-8 record against the Bulls since the move to Memphis. Despite trailing the overall series 16-10, Memphis has a 7-4 home record against the Bulls. However, Chicago won the first meeting this season, 96-86, in United Center. Rose played Tuesday after needing 10 stitches to close a gash in his arm after he rolled over onto a knife he was using to carve an apple while in bed. Bulls center Gray, who started the last two games, didn't practice Thursday because of a sore right knee.

THE QUOTE

"The fans loved me there. I just can't wait to go back." - Rose, saying he isn't worried about Memphis fans' reaction despite his requesting to be introduced as "from Chicago" rather than his alma mater during lineup announcements.
