Chicago Bulls Roster Report 2009-12-12

Chicago Bulls Roster Report 2009-12-12ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Derrick Rose, Shooting guard John Salmons, Small forward Luol Deng, Power forward Brad Miller, Center Joakim Noah. Bench -- Guard Kirk Hinrich, Forward James Johnson, Forward Taj Gibson.

--G Kirk Hinrich missed his first six shots of Friday's game against Golden State, which meant he was 0-for-15 in two games since returning from a sprained left thumb. Hinrich finally connected on a 20-foot jumper with 9:07 left in the fourth quarter to break his scoreless streak. He finished with eight points against the Warriors, including the first basket of overtime.

--C Joakim Noah made his presence felt against the Warriors' weak interior defense on Friday. Besides producing 18 points, 14 rebounds and three blocks, Noah scored a couple baskets in the post late in the fourth quarter. Golden State was missing primary big men Andris Biedrins and Ronny Turiaf because of injury.

--G Jannero Pargo did not play at all against Golden State on Friday with G Kirk Hinrich returning from injury to play 34 minutes. Pargo was supposed to provide scoring punch from the bench, but is shooting just 35.5 percent from the field.

--F Tyrus Thomas (broken left arm) was expected to be out until early December after breaking the radius in his left forearm and now that timetable has been extended. This was a freak accident that occurred while Thomas did a pull up during a weightlifting session at the Berto Center. A metal plate was used to repair the break during surgery on Nov. 7.

--C Jerome James (torn right Achilles' tendon) hasn't played since early last season when he was with the Knicks. No one is counting on any contributions from him, but he's vowed to get healthy and play sometime this season. He's starting to run again, but needs to pass a fitness test before he'll be allowed to practice.
