Chicago Bulls Roster Report 2009-11-22

Chicago Bulls Roster Report 2009-11-22ROTATION: Starters -- point guard Derrick Rose, Shooting guard John Salmons, Small forward Luol Deng, Power forward Taj Gibson, Center Joakim Noah. Bench -- Guard Kirk Hinrich, Guard Jannero Pargo, Guard Lindsey Hunter, Forward James Johnson, Center Brad Miller.

PLAYER NOTES:

--C Joakim Noah saw his streak of six consecutive double-doubles end at six when he finished with 10 points and eight rebounds in Saturday's loss at Denver. Noah picked up two fouls in the opening eight minutes and missed out on some rebounding time by taking an early seat on the bench.

--G John Salmons had been playing better on the road trip, hitting 16 of 31 shots from the field in the first two games. But he had another off-night against the Nuggets on Saturday, knocking down just two of 11 shots for five points.

--F Luol Deng seemed to have Carmelo Anthony's number. The high-scoring Denver forward hit just eight of 22 shots when the teams met in Chicago on Nov. 10. Then Anthony missed eight of 10 shots in the first quarter of Saturday's rematch. By the time that game ended, Deng had 22 points, but Anthony piled up 30, hitting 10 of 17 attempts in the final three quarters.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--F Tyrus Thomas (broken left arm) is expected to be out until early December after breaking the radius in his left forearm. He was hurt in a freak accident that occurred while Thomas did a pull-up during a weightlifting session at the Berto Center. A metal plate was used to repair the break during surgery on Nov. 7.

--C Aaron Gray (stress fracture in left fibula) was injured early in training camp and returned to practice during the Nov. 21 shootaround in Denver. After he gets a few full practices under his belt, Gray should be ready to return to game action.

--C Jerome James (torn right Achilles) hasn't played since early last season, when he was with the Knicks. No one is counting on any contributions from him, but he's vowed to get healthy and play sometime this season. He's starting to run again, but he needs to pass a fitness test before he'll be allowed to practice.
