Chicago Bulls Roster Report 2009-11-21

Chicago Bulls Roster Report 2009-11-21ROTATION: Starters -- point guard Derrick Rose, shooting guard John Salmons, small forward Luol Deng, power forward Taj Gibson, center Joakim Noah. Bench -- guard Kirk Hinrich, guard Jannero Pargo, guard Lindsey Hunter, forward James Johnson, center Brad Miller.

--C Joakim Noah had his sixth straight double-double, finishing with 15 boards and 12 points in Thursday's loss to the Lakers. Noah had his hands full with Pau Gasol back in the Lakers' lineup but still managed to be the game's leading rebounder.

--F Luol Deng had a rough night against Lakers defensive specialist Ron Artest on Thursday. Deng scored just six points and hit 3 of 11 shots. He'd been one of the Bulls' most reliable players this season with his mid-range jump shots.

--F James Johnson got a chance to play more than usual in the blowout loss to the Lakers and took advantage of it by scoring a season-high eight points in 10 minutes of action. The rookie forward finished some tough inside shots and has gone 5-for-7 from the field in two games on the West Coast trip.

--F Tyrus Thomas (broken left arm) is expected to be out until early December after breaking the radius in his left forearm. This was a freak accident that occurred while Thomas did a pullup during a weightlifting session at the Berto Center. A metal plate was used to repair the break during surgery on Nov. 7.

--C Aaron Gray (stress fracture in left fibula) was injured early in training camp and might be ready to resume practice toward the end of the road trip. The third-year pro was re-signed to provide depth at the center position but wasn't expected to play much.

--C Jerome James (torn right Achilles) hasn't played since early last season, when he was with the Knicks. No one is counting any contributions from him, but he has vowed to get healthy and play sometime this season. He's starting to run again but needs to pass a fitness test before he'll be allowed to practice.
