Chicago Bulls Roster Report 2009-11-15

Chicago Bulls Roster Report 2009-11-15ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Derrick Rose, Shooting guard John Salmons, Small forward Luol Deng, Power forward Taj Gibson, Center Joakim Noah. Bench -- Guard Kirk Hinrich, Guard Jannero Pargo, Guard Lindsey Hunter, Forward James Johnson, Center Brad Miller.

PLAYER NOTES:

--G Kirk Hinrich snapped out of a shooting slump during Saturday's win over Philadelphia. He entered he game shooting 34.6 percent from the field, then knocked down his first six shots against the Sixers, and he finished with a season-high 19 points.

--C Joakim Noah has recorded double-digit rebound totals in eight of the Bulls' nine games this season. He finished with 14 points and 12 boards on Saturday against the 76ers, and he continues to lead the league in rebounds with a 12.2 average.

--G Derrick Rose piled up seven turnovers against Philadelphia on Saturday. He also had seven giveaways a week earlier against Charlotte, but in between, had just one turnover in 73 minutes of action against Denver and Toronto.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--F Tyrus Thomas (broken left arm) is expected to be out until early December. He was hurt in a freak accident that occurred while Thomas did a pull-up during a weightlifting session at the Berto Center. A metal plate was used to repair the break during surgery on Nov. 7.

--C Aaron Gray (stress fracture in left fibula) was injured early in training camp and may be ready to resume practice in mid-November. The third-year pro was re-signed to provide depth at the center position, but he wasn't expected to play much.

--C Jerome James (torn right Achilles) hasn't played since early last season when he was with the Knicks. No one is counting any contributions from him, but he's vowed to get healthy and play sometime this season. It probably would be at least late November before he's ready to practice.
