Chicago Bulls Roster Report 2009-11-07

Chicago Bulls Roster Report 2009-11-07ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Derrick Rose, Shooting guard John Salmons, Small forward Luol Deng, Power forward Taj Gibson, Center Joakim Noah. Bench -- Guard Kirk Hinrich, Guard Jannero Pargo, Guard Lindsey Hunter, Forward Tyrus Thomas, Forward James Johnson, Center Brad Miller.

--G Derrick Rose has spent extra time after practice working on his conditioning and practicing drives to the basket. It seemed to pay off Thursday when he produced 14 points and 11 assists in the win at Cleveland. Rose is looking more like his rookie-season self each game.

--F Taj Gibson got his second straight start in Cleveland on Thursday with Tyrus Thomas slowed by an illness. Gibson had the best night of his rookie season, finishing with 11 points and seven rebounds, staying calm against 7-footers Shaquille O'Neal and Zydrunas Ilgauskas.

--G Jannero Pargo was a hero of Tuesday's comeback win over Milwaukee. Two days later against the Cavaliers, Pargo tried to get the offense going, but missed all four of his shots and went scoreless in 11 minutes. He's still bothered by a sore back that tightens up at times.

--F Tyrus Thomas (fractured left forearm) was injured while lifting weights and is not expected to return until mid-December at the earliest.

--C Aaron Gray (stress fracture in left fibula) was injured early in training camp and may be ready to resume practice in mid-November. The third-year pro was re-signed to provide depth at the center position, but wasn't expected to play much.

--C Jerome James (torn right Achilles' tendon) hasn't played since early last season when he was with the Knicks. No one is counting on any contributions from him, but he's vowed to get healthy and play sometime this season. It will probably be at least late November before he's ready to practice.
