MEDICAL WATCH:
--C Aaron Gray (stress fracture in left fibula) was injured early in training camp and may be ready to resume practice in mid-November. The third-year pro was re-signed to provide depth at the center position, but wasn't expected to play much.
--C Jerome James (torn right Achilles' tendon) hasn't played since early last season when he was with the Knicks. No one is counting onany contributions from him, but he's vowed to get healthy and play sometime this season. It will probably be at least late November before he's ready to practice.
