Chicago Bulls Roster Report 2008-11-01

Chicago Bulls Roster Report 2008-11-01
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Derrick Rose, Shooting guard Thabo Sefolosha, Small forward Luol Deng, Power forward Tyrus Thomas, Center Drew Gooden. Bench -- Guard Kirk Hinrich, Guard Ben Gordon, Forward Andres Nocioni, Center Joakim Noah, Center Aaron Gray.

PLAYER NOTES:

--F Tyrus Thomas was almost historically bad when it came to shooting percentage against the Celtics on Friday. The third-year forward went 2-for-17 from the field, although he did manage to produce 11 points and six rebounds.

--G Thabo Sefolosha may not be in the starting lineup much longer if he doesn't start producing. After playing less than 12 minutes in the season opener, Sefolosha looked tentative in Boston on Friday and scored all seven of his points in the final three minutes.

--G Derrick Rose tried his best to salvage a bad situation against the Celtics on Friday. With the Bulls trailing by double digits most of the night, Rose scored a team-high 18 points. He was credited with just one assist, but it's tough to help teammates when they shoot a collective 29.8 percent from the field.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--G Larry Hughes (dislocated right shoulder) stopped wearing a sling a couple days after suffering the injury in a preseason game at Minnesota on Oct. 22 and is hoping to be ready for game action within two weeks.

--F Michael Ruffin (sprained left ankle) has been sidelined since the second day of training camp. After being released and re-signed, he was inactive for the regular season opener against Milwaukee.
