Chicago Bulls Notes, Quotes 2009-11-03

Chicago Bulls Notes, Quotes 2009-11-03--After his second straight rough shooting game on Friday in Boston, guard John Salmons suggested he might look at video to try to find what he was doing wrong. Instead, he settled for a couple of pep talks and responded by hitting 7 of 14 shots for 17 points at Miami on Friday. He shot 17 percent in the two opening contests. "The first two games, I definitely shot too many threes," Salmons said. "I always took my share of threes, but I was always better at attacking the rim first, playing inside out. I just have to keep working, keep getting better."

--After playing the Celtics on Friday, the Bulls stayed in town and practiced in Boston on Saturday instead of flying straight to the next city after the game, which is generally how it's done in the NBA. The Bulls will continue that travel plan during the next road trip since there are no back-to-back games. "I don't think there's much benefit to getting in at 3 or 4 o'clock in the morning," coach Vinny Del Negro said. "I think it wears you down even more so."

QUOTE TO NOTE: "Shots I usually hit, floaters and stuff, I was missing. I've just got to get back in rhythm, but it takes playing. You can practice all you want, there's nothing like a game." -- G Derrick Rose on how he's still getting back in shape after missing most of preseason with an ankle injury.
