--G Derrick Rose's highlight plays Sunday in Philadelphia were all the rage, to everyone but Rose himself. During the victory over the Sixers, Rose blocked a fast-break lay-up attempt from Andre Miller from behind, caused Miller to fall down on a crossover move, then finished a one-handed alley-oop off a pass from Ben Gordon. "It was just a play," Rose said. "That's how I've been playing my whole life. I just try to win, go out there and do whatever it takes. For those plays to happen, it's just takes a will. I just want that play to happen."
--F Drew Gooden conceded he came back too soon from an ankle injury a few weeks back. After averaging 19.4 points and 10.6 rebounds in the previous five games, Gooden missed two games, then struggled when he returned to the lineup. "The Indiana and Dallas games were when I played with the most pain in my ankle," he said. "(Now) Coach is calling my number, as far as putting in a couple plays for me. I think I can still put two halves together and play even better." QUOTE TO NOTE: "I don't even watch 'SportsCenter' or (any) of that stuff. I stopped watching it ever since we played Tennessee in college (at Memphis) because you can't believe that hype. I was just trying to get us in a situation to win the game." -- Guard Derrick Rose, on ignoring his numerous highlights from Sunday's win at Philadelphia.
